He has recovered from dengue and will be joining the team once he is declared fit. Though he is still doubtful for the game against Pakistan on October 14.
Gill, who didn't travel with the team for the clash against the Afghanistan, was hospitalized in Delhi. However, a BCCI official told PTI about Gill's recovery. He said, "Gill is doing absolutely fine and is set to leave Chennai for Ahmedabad today. It is still not clear whether Gill will have a light training session at Motera on Thursday. Shubman Gill has been in superb form and is the leading run-scorer in ODIs in 2023. He has scored 1230 runs in 50-over cricket this year at an average of 72.35 and a strike rate of 105.03.
