South Africa tour of Bangladesh 2024 comprises of two test matches to be played in Dhaka and Chattogram.

The South Africa cricket team are all set to take on Bangladesh in a two-match test series in the latter’s backyard. This exciting series will be played from October 21. It is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

After suffering a 2-0 defeat against the Indian cricket team, Bangladesh will be looking to bounce back against South Africa in the upcoming two-match test series at home.

Talking about the South Africa squad, the visitors will be led by Aiden Markram as their regular captain Temba Bavuma is ruled out of the first test due to an injury.

The visitors have also added all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy, who last played a test match in 2023, while Dewald Brevis has received his maiden test call-up.

For Bangladesh, Najmul Hasan Shanto will continue to lead the side. Uncapped spinner Hasan Murad replaced veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan in the squad for the first test. Shakib is unavailable for the Dhaka test due to security concerns.
