How much will Pat Cummins earn per delivery in IPL 2024?

Pat Cummins was acquired for INR 20.50 crores at the IPL 2024 auction.
Pat Cummins made history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction history when he became the first player ever to receive a bid of more than Rs 20 crores at the IPL 2024 auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) paid a final bid of INR 20.50 crores for Pat Cummins at the auction and later named him captain of the franchise.
However, Pat Cummins’ record as the most expensive player bought ever in IPL auction stood for just a few minutes as his Australian teammate and fellow pacer Mitchell Starc was paid Rs 24.75 crores by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the IPL 2024 auction, breaking Cummins’ record.
Pat Cummins was recently named the captain of the SRH team, replacing Aiden Markram, who led the side last year, but finished 10 in the points table.
SRH punted on Pat Cummins’ brilliant year in 2023, when he retained the Ashes in England, won the ICC World Test Championship final against India, and then defeated India in the final of the ICC World Cup in Ahmedabad as Australia captain.
How much will Pat Cummins earn per match in IPL 2024?
Cummins, with a price of INR 20.50 crores, is the second most expensive player in IPL history. However, this also means that Cummins will be making a huge sum of money when it is broken down to his fees per match in the tournament.
If Cummins plays in all 14 league stage matches for SRH (given that SRH don’t qualify for the playoffs), the pacer will earn INR 1,46,42,857 per match.
If Cummins plays 17 games this season (the maximum number of matches a team can play in a season), he’ll earn INR 1,20,58,823 per match.
How much will Pat Cummins earn per delivery in IPL 2024?
Pat Cummins, like Mitchell Starc, is set to make more than INR 1 crore per match in the IPL 2024. However, given that he will be SRH’s premier bowler, he will most definitely bowl all 4 overs in possibly all matches his side play.
If you are wondering how much money Pat Cummins will get for bowling one single delivery in the IPL 2024, we have the answer for you.
If Cummins plays 14 games in the season (given that SRH doesn’t qualify for the playoffs) and bowls his quota of four overs in all the games, he will bowl a total of 56 overs, which equates to INR 6,10,119 per ball.
And if SRH manage to play a total of 17 matches (the maximum number of matches a team can play in a season). In this case, if Cummins bowls his quota of 4 overs in every match, he will bowl a total of 68 overs, which converts to 408 deliveries.
This means Pat Cummins will get INR 5,02,451 per ball in the IPL 2024 if SRH play 17 matches in the tournament.
In a bid to win their second IPL title, SRH will kickoff their IPL 2024 campaign against KKR on March 23, Saturday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
