[Watch] SRH players lineup to take autographs from MS Dhoni after SRH vs CSK match

MS Dhoni has scored 38 runs in two innings in the IPL 2024 season till now.

Following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Hyderabad on April 5, legendary MS Dhoni displayed a heartwarming gesture as he gave autographs to some young SRH players.

While defending champions CSK lost the match by six wickets, Dhoni’s aura continued to shine. In the latest video uploaded by the CSK franchise on their official handle ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), it was seen that Dhoni was giving autographs to many SRH players. “Etched in memories! 💛✍️,” CSK wrote.

He has got an aura behind him: SRH players on the legendary player MS Dhoni

After defeating five-time champions CSK, Hyderabad players took a moment to pay respect to the former Indian captain Dhoni, acknowledging his impact on the sport.

In a post-match clip shared on social media by the IPL, few SRH players praised Dhoni. Wicket-keeper batter Heinrich Klaasen hailed Dhoni’s legacy, asserting, “He is going down as a legend. Especially in this country, as well.”

The former skipper of SRH Aiden Markram said “Yeah, he’s still got it. He is still the legend.”

Veteran pacer Jaydev Undakat expressed that everyone is an MS Dhoni fan. “There is no point denying the fact that everyone is an MS Dhoni fan. He has got an aura behind him.”

How has Dhoni performed in the IPL 2024 so far?

The wicket-keeper batter Dhoni, has played four matches so far in the ongoing 17th edition of the IPL tournament. The former CSK skipper didn’t get a chance to bat in the first two games, but in their third game against the Delhi Capitals, Dhoni showed his vintage mode as he hammered an unbeaten 37 with a strike rate of over 200.

Against the Hyderabad-based franchise, Dhoni scored just one run from two balls and remained not out. Till now, he has scored a total of 38 runs in two outings in the ongoing IPL with an explosive strike rate of 211.11.
