With 15921 runs, Tendulkar is the highest run-scorer in the longest format of the game. He also has 51 hundreds to his name.
For ODI cricket, Yadav picked both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the greatest batsmen of all time. With 14181 runs in 302 ODIs so far, Kohli is the third-highest run-scorer in 50-over cricket. He has also slammed 51 centuries, more than any other batsman.
On the other hand, Sharma is the fourth-highest run-scorer among Indian batsmen currently in ODI cricket with 11168 runs. Suryakumar picked himself as the best batter in T20I cricket. The right-handed batsman has mustered 2670 runs in 90 T20Is so far and hammered four centuries.

When asked to name his best captain during the interview, the 35-year-old took Rohit Sharma’s name, who led India to two ICC titles since 2024, winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
“Look, I have played most of my cricket under Rohit Sharma, so Rohit Sharma,” he said.
Yadav also added that he wants to focus on white-ball cricket for the next few years and looks forward to playing in ICC T20 World Cup 2026 and the 2028 Olympics.
“Right now, how it feels is that I am almost 34 or 35. I feel that if I focus properly on white-ball cricket for the next three to four years, it will be better for me and for the team. I will be able to contribute much more effectively there,” he said.
“If you want the truth, maybe the 2028 Olympics and the T20 World Cup are in my mind. I will carefully see how things go. This year and next year, I also need to keep my body fit. You know, when you reach 37 or 38,” Suryakumar added.
Last month, Suryakumar-led India won Asia Cup 2025 by defeating Pakistan in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. His next assignment will be to lead the team in the five-match away T20I series against Australia, which will be played from October 29 to November 8.
