Rohit Sharma holds the record for highest individual score in ODI cricket.

Pakistani opener Saeed Anwar’s 194-run knock against India in 1997 remained the highest individual score in an ODI innings for about 12 years. No one came closer to breaking this record until Zimbabwean opener Charles Coventry equaled him in 2009 with his unbeaten 194 against Bangladesh in Bulawayo. After this, Indian opener Sachin Tendulkar created history and overtook both these batters with his double-century in Gwalior in 2010. Sachin opened the floodgates and this record is now intact with fellow Indian Rohit Sharma.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s knock of 264 runs is now at the top with no batter again coming closer to this score. Rohit’s 264 came against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in 2014 and since then he has been leading the chart of highest individual score in an ODI. Rohit is the only batter with more than one double century in One-day internationals. Along with him, when we look at the top-10 list of highest individual scores in this format, a few surprising names come up. Let’s have a look at this list.

Here are the top 10 highest individual scores in ODI cricket:
