MI registered their second victory of IPL 2025 against DC.

Mumbai Indians (MI) crushed Delhi Capitals (DC) by 12 runs in match No. 29 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 to clinch their second victory of the season. Former Indian cricketers Irfan Pathan and Pragyan Ojha lauded MI with posts on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Also, after MI won the match, their fans flooded the micro-blogging site with numerous posts to support their team.

Notably, the Hardik Pandya-led side ended DCโ€™s unbeaten run in the tournament. Earlier, DC had won four back-to-back games in IPL 2025. However, they failed to chase down the 206-run target against MI despite a marvellous effort by their Impact Player Karun Nair (89).

Cricketer-turned-commentator Pathan shared a tweet to hail MIโ€™s fielding in the match. Notably, they dismissed the last three DC batters with a hat-trick of run outs in the 19th over. MI fans were not far behind in lauding their team after Hardik Pandya & Co. won their second match of the season. Ahead of the clash against DC, they had lost four games out of five and were placed in the ninth spot in the points table. Their fans shared hilarious memes to celebrate MIโ€™s much-awaited victory. Meanwhile, MI have moved to seventh spot in the updated IPL 2025 points table after the victory against the Capitals. The five-time champions have won two games and lost four games out of six.

They have four points. They will next clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday (April 17). The encounter will take place at MIโ€™s home ground, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
