IPL 2025: Irfan Pathan leads praises as cricketing fraternity hails Rohit Sharma for his unbeaten fifty against CSK

Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 76 against CSK, this is his first half-century in IPL 2025.
Mumbai Indians (MI) faced Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the match No. 38 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. In this match, Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant half-century and gave Mumbai a victory by nine wickets. Former Indian pacer Irfan Pathan lauded Sharma for his brilliant innings in the match against MS Dhoni & Co.
MI had to chase a 177-run target in the match. Opener Sharma led the way with his unbeaten 76 runs off 45 balls. He hit 4 fours and 6 sixes during his innings at a strike rate of 168.89.
One-down Suryakumar Yadav also made a notable contribution with his unbeaten 68 runs. Asked to bat first, CSK failed to put up a powerful total in the first innings with half-centuries by Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube.

Sharma rocked the Wankhede Stadium with an amazing knock and won the player of the match award. After the MI vs CSK game, cricketer-turned-commentator Irfan Pathan praised Sharma for his batting.

Notably, the MI stalwart scored his first good knock in IPL 2025. Earlier, he lost his wickets cheaply for 26,18,17,13,8, and 0. He also missed a few games in the middle due to his poor form. Hence, he has made a classic comeback in IPL 2025 after continuous struggles.
Meanwhile, the Hardik Pandya-led side has registered their fourth victory of the season. They have won four games and lost four matches out of eight so far. With eight points, they grab the sixth spot in the IPL 2025 points table.
The five-time champions will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next match. The match will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
