"Streak Broken" Twitter reacts as Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally win a match in IPL 2024 after 1 month
Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs in Hyderabad.
In a much-needed victory, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured their second win of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) after enduring a month-long drought.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, RCB’s innings began aggressively, with Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli dominating the powerplay. However, T Natarajan dismissed du Plessis early, disrupting RCB’s flow. Kohli then adopted a cautious approach, while Rajat Patidar provided a much-needed boost with a rapid 19-ball fifty, including four consecutive sixes off Markande.
Despite Patidar’s heroics, his dismissal halted RCB’s momentum. Cameron Green’s useful contribution of 37 runs off 20 balls, coupled with Kohli’s half-century, propelled RCB to a competitive total of 206/7 in their 20 overs.

In response, SRH suffered a dismal start, losing wickets at regular intervals, including key dismissals of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, and Heinrich Klaasen during the powerplay. SRH found themselves in dire straits at 85/6, with their chances of victory diminishing rapidly.
Despite a brief resurgence from Pat Cummins, who scored a brisk 31 off 15 balls and Shahbaz Ahmed’s 40* from 37 balls, SRH’s batting lineup collapsed, eventually finishing at 171 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. RCB emerged victorious by 35 runs, maintaining a slim chance of advancing further in the tournament, depending on the outcomes of other matches.
After this win fans are buzzing on social media after the team’s recent victory, expressing their gratitude for securing their second win in the tournament. This thrilling and long-awaited accomplishment has provided supporters with something to celebrate.
