Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Mohammad Nabi as his 200th IPL wicket.

In his 153rd match in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Yuzvendra Chahal achieved a remarkable feat during Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) encounter against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 22 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, becoming the first bowler to reach 200 wickets. Chahal accomplished this milestone by dismissing Mohammad Nabi, needing just one more wicket to reach the landmark.

Chahal’s mastery was evident in his very first over of the game, where he deceived Nabi with his skillful bowling, resulting in a simple caught and bowled dismissal. This pivotal wicket left MI struggling at 52 for 4 in 7.3 overs, having chosen to bat first.

Since joining the Royals in the 2022 season, Chahal has been an invaluable asset, winning the Purple Cap with 27 wickets in 17 matches as RR finished as runners-up in that season. Now, he is eyeing a spot in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA.

Chahal’s achievement has garnered praise from fans on social media platforms, with many urging selectors to consider him for the upcoming T20 World Cup in June.
