'Welcome Back,' Twitter erupts after SRH's Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma unleash beast mode vs MI in IPL 2024

Head and Abhishek shattered former skipper David Warner’s record of fastest fifty for SRH in the IPL tournament.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Travis Head and left handed batter Abhishek Sharma unleashed their beast mode against five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) as the duo smashed respective half-centuries in 18 balls and 16 deliveries in the Indian Premier League 2024 match on March 26.
Head and Sharma also shattered the record of former skipper David Warner’s record of fastest fifty for SRH in the IPL tournament. Former SRH skipper David Warner’s smashed a fifty in 20 balls against the Chennai Super Kings in 2015. Warner also smashed a 20-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017 IPL edition.
Head’s counter-attacking knock in his debut game of the IPL season ensured hosts hammered 81 runs for the loss of one wicket in the powerplay against MI. While coming to bat at number three Abhishek went bonkers against MI’s bowling attack.
However, after laying foundation for big total Head departed after amassing 62 runs on 24 balls, including nine boundaries and three maximums. Meanwhile, Sharma scored 63 runs off 23 ball with the help of three fours and seven sixes to his name.
