Mohammed Siraj had a fiery exchange with Travis Head after dismissing him.

Travis Head belted the Indian bowlers at his home ground, Adelaide Oval, in Australia’s first innings of the ongoing second test of the series.

The day-night test of the BGT 2024-25 has been going Australia’s way so far with the hosts already having taken a first-innings lead of more than 150 runs after bowling India out for 180 on day 1.

Head hammered his eighth test century, and second against India, smashing 140 runs off 141 balls. The left-hander clobbered 17 fours and four sixes in his innings.

This was Head’s third century in international cricket against India since 2023, adding to his hundreds in the ICC WTC 2023 final and World Cup 2023 final.

His knock was ended by a superb yorker from speedster Mohammed Siraj. After the dismissal, the duo got involved in a heated exchange. Feisty words were said between the two hot-headed players, including some ‘F’ bombs.

Prior to the wicket, Head had smoked Siraj for a four and a six in the same over. Siraj’s frustrations had grown up from that and he celebrated Head’s wicket with huge roars and screams, leading to the agitation of the left-handed Aussie batsman.

Meanwhile, at the Dinner break on day 2, Australia are 332/8, leading by 152 runs. Jasprit Bumrah has taken four wickets so far in this innings.

Indian batsmen will be required to bat incredibly well in their second innings if the visitors are to have a chance in this match.

For the unversed, Australia have won all their previous seven day-night encounters in Adelaide.
