Uttar Pradesh (UP) approached the WPL 2024 auction with a formidable budget of 4 crore INR, eyeing the strategic addition of 5 players to fortify their squad. The team secured a diverse lineup with key acquisitions, including Indian batter Vrinda Dinesh for ₹1.3 crores English batter Dani Wyatt for ₹30 Lakhs and Indian bowler Gouher Sultana for ₹30 Lakhs.

Adding further depth, UP brought in Indian all-rounders Poonam Khemnar and Saima Thakor, both acquired for ₹10 Lakhs each. These calculated purchases underscore UP’s commitment to assembling a competitive team with a balanced blend of international and domestic talent for WPL 2024.
