The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most expensive franchise T20 tournament in the world. Recently, a Fanatic Sports Hurun India’s Most Valuable Sports Teams 2026 report revealed that the combined valuation of all 10 IPL teams is roughly INR 1,63,200 crore.
Moreover, the valuation of each franchise is more than INR 10,000 crore. A few teams also have a value of more than INR 20,000 crore. Interestingly, the two most successful teams in IPL history- Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians- are not the most valuable franchises. 10. Punjab Kings – INR 12,700-15,400 crore

Punjab Kings gets the last spot on this list with a valuation between INR 12,700 and 15,400 crore. Punjab have been part of the IPL since the inaugural edition in 2008. However, they have never won the tournament. They ended up as runners-up in the 2014 and 2025 editions.
9. Lucknow Super Giants – INR 14,000- 15,600 crore

Lucknow Super Giants made an entry into IPL in the 2022 edition, when the tournament was expanded to 10 teams. They made it to the playoffs in the first two editions but gave dismal performances in the next two. Super Giants have a valuation between INR 14,000 to 15,600 crore.
8. Gujarat Titans – INR 14,000- 15,800 crore

Gujarat Titans made a mark in their maiden edition in 2022 by winning the trophy. They also ended up as runners-up in the 2023 season. GT have been one of the strongest teams since their first season in 2022. They have a valuation between INR 14,000 and 15,800 crore.
7. Rajasthan Royals – INR 15,700 crore

Rajasthan Royals were the winners of the first edition in 2008. However, they have to failed to add more trophies to their cabinet after that. In 2022, they ended up as runners-up after losing to Gujarat Titans in the final. With a valuation of INR 15,700 crore, RR take the seventh spot on this list.
6. Delhi Capitals – INR 16,600-17,700 crore

Delhi Capitals is another team that have been part of IPL since 2008 but are yet to win the title. Although DC have made it to the playoffs many times, they have never bagged the tag of champions. Till the 2018 edition, they were known as Delhi Daredevils. They have a valuation between INR 16,600 to 17,700 crore.
5. Royal Challengers Bengaluru – INR 16,700 crore

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have the largest fan-following than any other team. They also have far more followers on social media than other teams. In IPL 2025, they completed their dream of winning an IPL trophy. Their valuation stands at INR 16,700 crore.
4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – INR 17,500- 18,400 crore

Sunrisers Hyderabad joined the IPL in the 2013 edition. They have been consistent performers over the years and also won the trophy in 2016. The Pat Cummins & Co. have a valuation between INR 17,500 and 18,400 crore.
3. Chennai Super Kings – INR 18,400- 20,700 crore

Although Chennai Super Kings have flopped with their performance in recent seasons, they are the most successful team with five titles. They enjoy a large fan base. With a valuation of about INR 18,400 to 20,700, Chennai grab the third spot on this list.
2. Mumbai Indians – INR 18,400- 21,700 crore

Mumbai Indians have also won five trophies in the IPL. They have struggled in the last few seasons but were the most dominating team in the last decade. Moreover, they have a huge fanbase and a few well-known Indian players in their squad. Mumbai have a valuation between INR 18,400 to 21,700 crore.
1. Kolkata Knight Riders – INR 19,200- 22,500 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders steal the top spot on this list. They have been part of the tournament since the inaugural edition in 2008 and have also won three titles. KKR have a valuation between INR 19,200 and 22,500, the highest than any other IPL team.
