Rachin Ravindra took Virat Kohli’s catch in first innings of the CSK vs RCB clash.

Star player Virat Kohli never hesitates to express his emotions during the match, and it was once again evident in match 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on March 22.

The former RCB skipper gave an aggressive send-off to CSK opener Rachin Ravindra after the left-handed batter was dismissed by leg-spinner Karan Sharma.

The New Zealand star Rachin made his IPL debut in the match and showcased his talent by giving defending champions CSK a promising start. Rachin opened the innings with new CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and looked in good touch right from the word go.

During his stay at the crease, Ravindra played his shots freely. The CSK opener hammered 37 runs off 14 balls with the help of three boundaries and as many sixes before he could take the game away from the Bengaluru-based franchise.

After being hit for a maximum on the fifth ball of the seventh over, RCB leg-spinner Karan took his revenge by dismissing dangerous Rachin on the very next delivery. The CSK opener went down on his knee for a slog sweep but ended up hitting the shot straight to fielder Rajat Patidar at the deep backward square leg.

Soon after the catch was taken, the cameras turned towards Virat Kohli, who was seen giving a firey send-off to the left-handed batter, Ravindra. The 35-year-old Kohli was seen gesturing for the CSK opener to leave the field with a hand gesture and was also seen using the ‘F’ word.

Here is the viral video of Virat Kohli:

Opting to bat first, RCB’s Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik’s fighting partnership of 95 runs helped the Bengaluru side post 173/6 against the five-time champions CSK.

Meanwhile, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman’s four-wicket haul halted RCB from posting a big total. On his debut match for five-time champions CSK, Mustafizur claimed wickets dismissing Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Cameron Green.
