Virat Kohli retired from T20 internationals after India won the T20 World Cup 2024 final.

Veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has thanked the Mumbai Police for all the hard work they put in to ensure smooth conduct of the Indian cricket team’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade on July 4.

The Indian side landed at the New Delhi Airport on July 4 around 6:00 AM after being struck since June 29 in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. After reaching Delhi, Rohit Sharma & Co. met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on the very same day.

The Men in Blue then departed for Mumbai in the afternoon and landed at the airport in the evening. After arriving at the Mumbai airport, the Men in Blue got a grand welcome from the Mumbai crowd.

The Rohit Sharma-led side also had an unforgettable T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade along with the fans, who gathered in lakhs from Marine Drive to the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian cricket team also had a memorable felicitation ceremony in front of the fully packed Wankhede crowd, where they sang a patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’ while taking the victory lap and thanking the Wankhede crowd.

Heartfelt thanks to all the officers and staff of Mumbai Police: Virat Kohli

Before arriving at the Mumbai airport, the crowd had started to gather at various places across the streets of Marine Drive from 3:00 PM onwards on July 4.

However, the Mumbai Police and its support staff ensured that all the threats were eliminated. They safeguarded the Indian cricket team to ensure the smooth conduct of the T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade and the felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium.

The crowd gathered in huge numbers, and Mumbai Police did a spectacular job making sure no harmful events took place during the historic and memorable day for all the fans and Indian cricketers.

Indian stalwart Virat Kohli took it to his social media handle ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), to thank the Mumbai police officials for doing a stunning job during Team India’s victory parade.
