Imad Wasim picked 5/23 and made 19* in Islamabad United’s win in the PSL 2024 final.

A video of PSL 2024 final Player of the Match Imad Wasim has gone viral in which he can be seen smoking in the dressing room of the National Stadium in Karachi. Wasim’s Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans in the final of the PSL 9 to become the first three-time champions on Monday.

The team led by Muhammad Rizwan, Multan Sultans were participating in their fourth straight PSL final, won the toss, and elected to bat first in Karachi’s National Stadium. Sultans scored 159/9 in 20 overs thanks to Usman Khan’s 57, Iftikhar Ahmed’s 32*, and captain Rizwan’s 26.

Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, picked 3/32, but Wasim was the star with the ball, taking 5/23 in his 4 overs.

In response, Martin Guptill scored 50 runs to give Islamabad a strong start. He also forged a strong alliance with Azam Khan, who added 30 runs. Ultimately Islamabad won the last-ball thriller with Hunain Shah scoring the game-winning runs.

Imad Wasim seen smoking in the dressing room in a viral video during PSL 2024 final

Imad Wasim, a former all-rounder for Pakistan, was named Player of the Match in the PSL 2024 final for his overall effort with both the bat and the ball. Aside from his game-winning effort, however, the fans have taken notice of the video he posted of himself smoking in the Islamabad locker room.

Wasim is seen smoking a cigarette inside the dressing room in a video that went viral. This was after Multan Sultans’ innings had finished in which Wasim had taken 5/23, becoming the first bowler ever to take a fifer in a PSL final.

This was the third consecutive loss for Multan Sultans in the final of the Pakistan Super League.
