KL Rahul isn’t keeping wickets tonight in DC vs LSG clash.
In match No. 64 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul took a brilliant juggling catch to get rid of Delhi Capitals’ (DC) batter Shai Hope at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on May 14. Rahul’s stunning catch ended Hope’s innings for 38 runs.
After winning the toss and opting to field first, Lucknow had a perfect start with the ball as Arshad Khan removed dangerous DC opener Jake Fraser-McGurk for a two-ball duck in the very first over.
After McGurk’s dismissal, Shai Hope and Abhishek Porel started to play counter-attacking cricket. Both the DC batters took their side to 73/1 in the first six overs.
With Lucknow skipper KL Rahul looking to put a break on this partnership, he brought their ace leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi into the attack. On the very first delivery, Hope hammered a huge six. On the third ball of the over, Bishnoi had the last laugh as he ended Hope’s innings.
Bishnoi bowled a flatter delivery outside the off-stump and Hope slapped it straight to Rahul, who was standing at the cover. The ball reached Rahul around chest height and he had to take it in an awkward position.
However, the ball popped out of his hand and lobbed towards the right of him. Reacting quickly, Rahul moved towards his right and dived quickly to pouch the ball with both hands.
Rahul’s stunning effort at the field ended the Capitals Hope innings with 38 runs. Hope smashed three boundaries and two sixes in his 27-ball stay at the crease.
