Shahrukh Khan smashed 30-ball 58 before Mohammed Siraj removed him.

In match No. 45 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ace pacer Mohammed Siraj produced a brutal yorker, which sent back Gujarat Titans (GT) dangerous batter Shahrukh Khan for 58 runs to the dressing room at the Narendra Modi Stadium on April 28.

After being asked to bat first, Gujarat had a slow start as they scored 42/1 runs in the first six overs. The hosts lost wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha in the very first over. However, Bengaluru kept things tight with the ball as they removed Titans’ skipper Shubman Gill (16) in the seventh over of the match.

With the hosts needing a desperate partnership, Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh started playing counter-attacking cricket as Shahrukh completed his maiden IPL fifty in the 13th over. In the very next over, Faf du Plessis brought Siraj into the attack in hope of breaking the partnership.

In the very first ball of the 14th over, Siraj bowled a terrific yorker, which was tailing back into the Titans’ right-handed batter. Shahrukh cleared his front leg and was aiming for a big shot towards the leg-side, but he was undone by the sheer pace and movement as the ball crashed into the leg stump.

Siraj ended the 86-run partnership between Sai and Shahrukh. During his stay at the crease, Khan smashed a 30-ball 58, including three boundaries and five sixes, with an explosive strike rate of over 190.
