Rohit Sharma became the 2nd Indian batter to complete 11,000 runs in T20 career in today's match against SRH.

Mumbai Indians had a great run chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium. Captain Rohit Sharma looked in cruise control in his half-century. Rohit smashed 56 runs in 37 balls with 8 fours and a six. Rohit had a poor start of the IPL 2023 but he looked comfortable in the last three innings. Rohit anchored the chase nicely along with Cameron Green who went on to score his maiden century in the Indian Premier League. Rohit was looking in great touch against the Hyderabad bowler but a great fielding effort from Nitish Reddy sent him back in the dugout.

Mumbai Indians were almost on the verge of a great win against Hyderabad, In the 14th over Mayank Dagar bowled outside off delivery to Rohit Sharma. Rohit made some room and tried to hit an inside-out shot to fetch a boundary. He got an outside edge and the ball went a little in the air towards point. Nitish Reddy who was guarding the point region, saw an opportunity and made a good leap in the air. Reddy took a stunning catch mid-air to dismiss Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma. Rohit also completed 11,000 runs in his T20 career.

Mumbai Indians have knocked out Rajasthan Royals from the playoffs race. Mumbai are 4th in the table now and a lot depends upon the second game of the Sunday's doubleheader. Royal Challengers Bangalore are taking on Gujarat Titans. If RCB manage to defeat Titans they will knock down Mumbai and go through to the next round. Mumbai need an RCB loss at any cost. This is Mumbai’s third 200-plus chase in the IPL 2023.
