Watch: Rashid Khan takes a blinder of a diving catch to dismiss Kyle Mayers

Rashid Khan took a stunning catch to send back LSG's in-form opener, Kyle Mayers.

The 51st match of the IPL 2023 saw the Gujarat Titans (GT) clashing against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on May 7th.

After being put into bat by LSG captain Krunal Pandya, GT got a massive opening partnership as Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill hammered the LSG bowlers to all parts of the Motera Stadium. The duo added 142 runs for the first wicket in just 12.3 overs.

Saha took the initiative, smashing 10 fours and 4 sixes throughout his 43-ball 81-run stay before holding out in the deep against Avesh Khan's bowling.

Gujarat Titans posted a staggering 227 for 2 in the 20 overs thanks to Shubman Gill's 94* in 51 balls with 7 sixes and 2 fours, Hardik Pandya's 25 and 15 balls with 2 sixes and 14, David Miller's 21 not out in 12 balls, and Shubman Gill's continuous onslaught.

Kyle Mayers gets out to a special catch by Rashid Khan after giving LSG a flying start

Despite having a daunting task Of Chasing 227 Run target Lucknow Super Giants openers Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock, came out all guns blazing.

The duo added 88 runs in 8.2 overs, with Quinton making 37 in 20 balls with 7 fours and Mayers 48 runs in 32 walls with 7 fours and 2 sixes to his name.

However, Mayer's innings came to an end after the drinks break, as he tried to pull a Mohit Sharma slow ball towards the leg side.  But Rashid Khan who was stationed at the mid-wicket boundary ran in to take the catch, and die does the ball was dying on him.

Rashid somehow manage to get his hands underneath the ball and came up with an astonishing catch.
