By taking the catch, Virat Kohli also became 3rd player to take 100 or more catches in the IPL history.
The 32nd match of the IPL 2023 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 23, 2023, saw Virat Kohli blew a kiss to his wife Anushka Sharma who was in attendance.
The moment came after Virat Kohli became only the 3rd player to take 100 catches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history. Kohli had taken the catch of Devdutt Padikkal to reach the milestone and then added one more after it.
While Padikkal got out after scoring his half-century, Yashasvi Jaiswal, in an attempt to reach his milestone, got out. He tried to hoick the Harshal Patel's slower delivery over long-on but only managed to hit it towards Virat Kohli, who took an easy catch with his fingers pointing towards the sky.
After taking the easy catch, Kohli turned towards the stands where his wife Anushka Sharma was standing and cheering for him and blew a flying kiss towards his better half.

Earlier, Sanju Samson, the RR captain had won the toss and chosen to bowl first. Virat Kohli captained the RCB team again for the second time. This is also a special match for RCB, who are wearing a green colored jersey to support the go green initiative.
Boult bowled the first ball of the first over to Virat Kohli and got him plumb out LBW with a brilliant inswinging full delivery. Kohli was late on the ball and walked off the field without even considering taking the DRS review.
After Kohli’s wicket, The RCB innings were rebuilt by Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell who added 127 runs for the second wicket after Shahbaz Ahmed was also dismissed for cheap, again by Boult. Du Plessis made 62 before being run out and Maxwell fell to Ravi Ashwin for 77 in 44 balls.
Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma picked two wickets each for Rajasthan.
