West Indies have replaced all-rounder Raymon Reifer with an uncapped spinner for the second test in Trinidad.

The first test between India and the West Indies at Windsor Park in Dominica ended with the expected result. The hosts were no way close to the visitors and suffered a humiliating defeat by an innings and 141 runs. India were too good to handle for the West Indies and dominated the whole game, which ended within three days. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Ashwin were the top performers for India in the first game.

That win provided India with a 1-0 unassailable lead in the two-match series, and they will look to win the second game to register a clean sweep. On the other hand, the under-confident West Indian side will hope for some better performances from their players to do well in the second and final match and somehow level the series at 1-1. On that note, the hosts have made a big change in their squad for the second test.

West Indies replace Raymon Reifer with Kevin Sinclair in their squad for the second test

The second and final test of the series will take place at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and will start on July 20 (Thursday). On Monday, the hosts announced the 13-member squad for the second game. The squad was almost the same as in the first game, with one change. All-rounder Raymon Reifer was dropped from the team.

He was replaced by an uncapped off-spinner, Kevin Sinclair. Reifer, who played the first game, managed to score 2 and 11 in two innings of the game. He also bowled four overs for 16 runs without taking a wicket. Though he is not part of the team, he will travel to Trinidad with the team and can be used in case of an injury.

On the other hand, the selection of Sinclair indicates that the hosts are looking for a specialist spinner after Ashwin troubled them in throughout the first game. The off-spinner has already represented the West Indies in 7 ODIs and 6 T20Is and was part of the team in the ICC CWC World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe. But this will be his first red-ball game if he makes his debut.
