Ishan Kishan and Ajinkya Rahane were involved in funny banter during the Dominica Test.

The first test between India and West Indies ended in favor of the visitors, who showed how consistent they are in the longest format of the game. Team India registered a massive win by an innings and 141 runs. The visitors gave their debut caps to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ishan Kishan. With this win, India have taken a 1-0 lead in the series with one more game to play.

After winning the toss, West Indies decided to bat first. India dismissed the hosts for just 150 runs in the first innings. Ravi Ashwin picked up his 33rd five-wicket haul and ended up with a figure of 5/60. Then India gave a strong reply with a 229-run opening stand. Jaiswal scored a debut ton and made 171 runs, while Rohit Sharma scored 103 runs. Virat Kohli also contributed well with a 76-run knock.

India declared their first innings at 421/7 with a lead of 271 runs. Then the Indian bowlers made life hell for the hosts and bowled them out for just 130 runs in 50.3 overs. Ashwin picked up another five-wicket haul and took 7/71 in the second inning to help the visitors win. India dominated the entire test, and there were many good moments during the game.

However, there was an occasion when debutant Ishan Kishan teased vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane when West Indian No. 11 Jomel Warrican ended up playing more balls than Rahane. Warrican played 18 balls for his 18 runs. Ishan trolled Rahane and indicated that Warrican played more balls than him.

Jaiswal won the "Man of the Match" award for his century on his debut. Ashwin also did well on his comeback game after getting dropped from the playing XI in the WTC final. He picked up 12 wickets in the entire game and surpassed Harbhajan Singh to become India's second highest wicket-taker in international cricket. Both teams will now lock horns in the second game from July 20 in Port of Spain. India will look to continue their dominance and register a clean sweep.
