The West Indies tour of Sri Lanka white-ball series will start on October 13.
The West Indies cricket team are all set to travel to Sri Lanka for a white-ball tour, which consists of three T20Is and as many ODIs in the month of October 2024.
Before this, Sri Lanka last played white-ball cricket when they hosted India. They lost the three T20Is 3-0, but bounced back in the three-match ODI series. The hosts crushed Men in Blue 2-0 and will be looking to perform well in the upcoming home white-ball series against the West Indies.
On the other hand, the West Indies last played T20Is in a three-match T20I series at home against South Africa in August 2024. The Men in Maroon whitewashed Proteas 3-0.
Talking about the visitors’ squad, star players like Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, and Shimron Hetymer are among some names who have opted out of the Sri Lanka tour due to personal reasons.
Rovam Powell will lead the T20I side, whereas veteran batter Shai Hope will be the captain for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Bhanuka Rajapaksa has returned to the setup. Charith Asalanka will continue to lead the side.

The three-match T20I series between Sri Lanka and West Indies will be played at the Rangiri International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla.
Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele will host the three ODIs between the two nations.
