7. Chris Gayle (1998)

Chris Gayle, the former West Indies cricketer, was a part of the 1998 U19 World Cup, where he emerged as the highest run-scorer with an impressive tally of 364 runs in seven matches and also took four wickets with the ball. Making his international debut in 1999 for West Indies, Gayle went on to play 103 tests, scoring 7214 runs with 15 centuries and also contributing with 73 wickets.
In ODIs, he played 301 matches, scoring 10480 runs with 25 centuries and took 167 wickets. Additionally, in T20Is, Gayle scored 1899 runs with two centuries and claimed 20 wickets across 79 appearances. He is also called as the ‘Universe Boss.’
6. Dwayne Bravo (2002)

Dwayne Bravo, the former West Indies cricketer, participated at the 2002 U19 World Cup, contributing with only 90 runs in seven matches. He made his international debut in 2004 and went on to have an outstanding career. Bravo played 40 test matches, scoring 2200 runs and taking 86 wickets.
In ODIs, he featured in 164 matches, scoring 2968 runs and claiming 199 wickets. Additionally, in T20Is, Bravo played 91 matches, scoring 1255 runs and taking 78 wickets. He has been brilliant in franchise cricket and is considered one of the best all-rounders in T20Is.
5. Sunil Narine (2006)

Sunil Narine, a key figure in West Indies cricket, emerged from the 2006 U19 World Cup. He picked only seven wickets in five matches but was recognized by the national selectors. Making his international debut in 2011, Narine has been a notable presence in West Indies cricket. In test cricket, he played six matches, claiming 21 wickets.
His impact continued in ODIs, where he participated in 65 matches and took 92 wickets. Furthermore, in T20Is, Narine featured in 51 matches, displaying his effectiveness with 52 wickets. Narine has been a regular name in franchise cricket and continues to show his dominance in the shortest format of the game.
4. Jason Holder (2010)

Jason Holder, a prominent figure in West Indies cricket, made his mark at the 2010 U19 World Cup, where he excelled with the ball, picking 12 wickets in six matches. This impressive performance laid the foundation for his international career and he made his debut in 2013. Holder has since become a key all-rounder for the West Indies.
In test cricket, he has played 64 matches, taking 157 wickets and scoring 2797 runs. In ODIs, Holder featured in 138 matches, securing 159 wickets and contributing with 2237 runs. Additionally, in T20Is, he has played 60 matches, taking 63 wickets and scoring 429 runs so far.
3. Nicholas Pooran (2014)

Nicholas Pooran showcased his batting skills at the 2014 U19 World Cup, scoring an impressive total of 303 runs in six matches. This stellar performance opened the doors to international career and he made his debut in 2016.
Since then, Pooran has been a dynamic player in West Indies cricket. In ODIs, he has played 61 matches, accumulating 1983 runs, while in T20Is, he has featured in 85 matches, scoring 1811 runs so far. Pooran is also playing franchise cricket all around the world.
2. Shimron Hetmyer (2014,2016)

Shimron Hetmyer, a promising talent, participated at both the 2014 and 2016 U19 World Cups. In 2014, he contributed with 91 runs in five matches and in 2016, he showcased his batting skills by scoring 158 runs in six matches. in 2016 West Indies went on to lift their maiden U19 World Cup title. Hetmyer’s consistent performances earned him an international call-up and he made his debut in 2017.
Since then, he has been an integral part of West Indies cricket , featuring in 16 tests and scoring 838 runs, 53 ODIs with 1515 runs and 57 T20Is where he has scored 902 runs so far. Hetmyer’s aggressive batting style and ability to perform in various formats mark him as a key player for West Indies.
1. Alzarri Joseph (2016)

Alzarri Joseph, a pace sensation, showcased his bowling capabilities during the 2016 U19 World Cup, claiming an impressive 13 wickets in six matches. Making his debut in 2016, Joseph has become a key figure in West Indies cricket .
In test cricket, he has played 30 matches, taking 85 wickets, while in ODIs, he has 66 appearances with 108 wickets. Additionally, Joseph has featured in 19 T20Is, where he has taken 32 wickets so far. His ability to consistently contribute with the ball highlights his potential as a valuable asset for West Indies.
