Who is Adi Hegde? All you need to know about Indian origin cricketer in Scotland U19 World Cup

Adi Hegde is picked in Scotland U19 squad for the U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa.
Adi Hegde spent a good few months in Bengaluru to work on his skills during the recent ICC Cricket World Cup in India. Adi Hegde soon found his place in Scotland U19 World Cup squad for the U19 World Cup 2024 in South Africa. Scotland have so far made nine appearances in the U19 World Cup and the upcoming edition will be their 10th appearance.
Just like Australia and New Zealand, two Indian origin players have found their place in Scotland squad. Along with all-rounder Adi Hegde, right-arm pacer Nikhil Krishna Koteeswaran will be also representing Scotland U19 squad in the upcoming mega youth event. Owen Gould will be leading Scotland U19 side in the upcoming U19 World Cup in South Africa.
Who is Adi Hegde?
Adi Hegde was born and brought up in Scotland. He was born in Edinburgh but later his family moved to Aberdeen. Hegde then joined the Gordonian club famous for Rugby. His love for cricket began at home and then later on he started playing cricket at club level. Adi Hegde’s rise was quick and he got to play in the Gordonians senior team at a very early age.
He also got the chance to lead his club side which according to him helped a lot in his career. Scotland all-rounder Adi Hegde’s family belongs to Bengaluru in India. Adi Hegde revealed Bengaluru has played a big role in his career. He keeps on visiting Bengaluru twice a year to work on his cricketing skills.
Left-hander Adi Hegde is currently studying Economics at University College in London. Adi Hegde is ready to shine in the upcoming mega youth event in South Africa. Scotland will be playing their opening game against England at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on 20th January. Scotland are placed in group B along with hosts South Africa, West Indies and England.
