Will Virat Kohli play against Saurashtra in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 tomorrow?

Virat Kohli scored a century and a half-century in Delhi’s first two games in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.

Indian Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli delivered a marvellous performance for his domestic team Delhi in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. The right-handed batsman rocked the field in Delhi’s first two matches, smacking a century and a half-century.

In the first round, the former Indian captain hammered a 131-run knock in the opening game against Andhra at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, Bengaluru. With his stunning batting show, he drove his team to victory by four wickets in the 299-run chase.

Continuing with his stellar form, the 37-year-old replicated his heroics in the second game against Gujarat, hitting 77 runs off 61 deliveries. Delhi lost both openers cheaply, and Kohli rescued them from an early blow with his quickfire fifty, taking the scoreboard to 254/9.

Later, he also captured two catches while fielding as his team won the encounter by a close margin of seven runs. For his notable contribution with the bat, Kohli was awarded Player of the Match.

Will Virat Kohli play in Delhi’s third game against Saurashtra in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26?

Delhi, who are captained by Rishabh Pant, will next clash with Saurashtra in the third round of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. The Group D clash will be played on December 29 (Monday) at KSCA Cricket Ground 2 in Alur.

However, Kohli will not be part of the encounter as the right-handed batsman has returned to Mumbai from Bengaluru after playing two games for his side. Following his ouster, India U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull is expected to bat at one-down in Delhi’s next game. Moreover, Pant will continue to captain Delhi in the clash against Saurashtra.

Meanwhile, Kohli is also gearing up for the forthcoming ODI series against New Zealand, scheduled to commence on January 11. The campaign will witness three matches. In the previous ODI series against South Africa, the former Indian captain won the Player of the Series award for his two centuries and one fifty across three games.
