WPL 2027 schedule announced, RCB vs MI in opening match

Vadodara to host the first 11 matches of WPL 2027.
The fifth edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2027) will begin on January 14, 2027. Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening match. The tournament will run until February 7, with Vadodara and Mumbai set to host all 22 matches.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the complete schedule on November 4. All five franchises will compete for the title, with 11 matches scheduled at each venue.
The Vadodara leg will run from January 14 to 24, with all five teams starting their campaigns at this venue.The opening match between RCB and MI will be followed by Gujarat Giants taking on UP Warriorz on January 15. Delhi Capitals will begin their campaign against RCB on January 16.
The action will then move to Mumbai, where Brabourne Stadium will host the remaining league matches and the playoffs.

Each team will play several league matches in Vadodara before the tournament moves to its second venue. The action will then shift to Mumbai, where the Cricket Club of India’s Brabourne Stadium will host the remaining 11 matches from January 26.
The Mumbai leg will begin with Mumbai Indians facing RCB on January 26. The league stage will continue until February 3, when Delhi Capitals will take on UP Warriorz in the final league fixture.
The team topping the points table will secure direct qualification for the title clash. While second and third placed teams will will compete in Eliminator for February 5 for a place in the final.
The WPL 2027 final will take place on February 7 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. All 22 matches, including the Eliminator and final, will begin at 7:30 PM IST.
