Yashasvi Jaiswal will play for India soon, predicts former India head coach Ravi Shastri

Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has become a superstar in the IPL 2023 with two of his great knocks. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a magnificent unbeaten 98 runs knock in 47 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders while chasing just 150 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal also scored the fastest half-century in the Indian Premier League. He smashed a 13-ball fifty against KKR. Before this, he also smashed a century against Mumbai Indians, scoring 124 runs in 62 balls. After these smashing performances in the IPL, he has also made his case for the Indian team in ICC World Cup 2023 squad. Now, former Indian coach Ravi Shastri has made a bold statement about Jaiswal.
Ravi Shastri's bold prediction
The Royals opener has come into the reckoning for the national call-up. Talking about Jaiswal’s chances in the Indian team, Former coach Ravi Shastri said, “The selectors must be closely monitoring Jaiswal and he will soon play for India”. Yashasvi Jaiswal started slowly in his Indian Premier League, but his hard work and hunger to improve has now put him among the top in the IPL 2023. Ravi Shastri further added, “The best thing about him is the way he’s raised his graph. There is power in his game, there’s timing. He has a very bright future”. Yashasvi Jaiswal has challenged Faf du Plessis in the orange cap race.
21-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored 575 runs in 11 innings for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023. Jaiswal has started aggressively in most of the games this season. Jaiswal's side has stunned everyone and he has become a strong contender for the World Cup place. With Shreyas Iyer injured, Suryakumar failing in ODIs Yashasvi Jaiswal has become the front-runner for that place.
