EA FC 24 will have 16,000+ rated players in the men's category

In almost 30 years of annual releases of association football games published by Electronic Arts (EA), we will not see the likely branding as "FIFA 24" this season. Reportedly, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) wanted double the previous amount to allow EA to use the likeness "FIFA" in their game. EA was reluctant to give them that absurd amount for just using their name, which is only important for them every four years. Basically, whenever the FIFA World Cup happens in the real world, the international format of the game helps drive the sales of their video game as well.

Now this season Electronic Arts is releasing the football game with the name "EA Sports FC" on 29 September 2023. This game will have well over 16,000 players in the men's game. And as the ratings are officially out, let's have a look at the faces who are getting the biggest upgrade since the last edition:

10 players with the biggest upgrade in EA FC 24

10. Enzo Fernández - 83 (+5)

The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner for Argentina surely impressed on the global stage in Qatar last year. And as early as the January transfer window of 2023 Enzo Fernández received a call from the Premier League side Chelsea. The Blues reportedly agreed to pay the £106.8 million release clause in instalments to Benfica to acquire him. In the EA FC, we will see Fernández sport an 83 rating after a five-point upgrade.

9. Antoine Griezmann - 88 (+5)

Antoine Griezmann's last season was fairly good. In the 2022-23 LaLiga edition, he played every game possible for Diego Simeone's Atlético de Madrid. In those outings, Griezmann recorded a whopping 15 goals and 17 assists output. This is also reflected in his five-point increment towards his overall this term.

8. Randal Kolo Muani - 84 (+6)

In January deadline day Eintracht Frankfurt couldn't resist the record fee Paris Saint-Germain were offering for Randal Kolo Muani. This ultimately saw him move back to his country France after spending a year in Germany with Frankfurt. Last season Kolo Muani had a 78 overall rating. After a 23-goal and 17-assist season, this rises to 84 for the forward.

7. Rodrigo Riquelme - 77 (+7)

The Atlético de Madrid youth product was out on loan playing for Girona last season. The winger impressed away on loan enough to be given minutes on the pitch for his parent club this season. Rodrigo Riquelme will see his rating stack up seven points in this year's game.

6. Youssoufa Moukoko - 77 (+7)

The centre-forward is just 18 and was regularly involved in Borussia Dortmund's squad last term. In the Bundesliga alone, Youssoufa Moukoko represented Die Schwarzgelben 26 times to score 7 goals and also provide 4 assists. EA couldn't help but hand him a seven-point rise in rating.

5. Rasmus Højlund - 76 (+9)

A £72 million deal including add-ons is what Manchester United agreed to pay Serie A side Atalanta for Rasmus Højlund. That's an absurd amount for a 20-year-old but the Red Devils deemed him fit to represent their attack. Højlund's overall rating is also set to sore with a nine-point raise making him a 76-rated striker in the EA FC 24 game.

4. Moisés Caicedo - 80 (+10)

After a brilliant last season with Brighton & Hove Albion, Moisés Caicedo was a highly sought-after player in the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old midfielder was officially announced as a Chelsea player in August. A ten-point rating increment makes Caicedo an 80-rated overall player.

3. Roméo Lavia - 73 (+11)

A £58 million fee and Roméo Lavia's desire to play for Chelsea instead of Liverpool helped him move to Stamford Bridge in the summer. The former Southampton player has also received a major boost in his EA game rating. After an eleven-point increase, Lavia will now be rated as a 73 overall CDM in the EA FC 24 game.

2. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - 86 (+12)

Napoli had a standout Serie A 2022-23 season. A 90-point on the table helped them lift the league title. And Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was among the notable standout players for the Gli Azzurri. The winger received a whopping twelve-point increment and will now be 86-rated LW in the game.

1. Alex Balde - 81 (+13)

EA FC 24 will see Alejandro Balde Martínez simply known as Alex Balde receive the major upgrade. A standout thirteen-point improvement to his rating sees him become an 81-rated left-back for FC Barcelona in the upcoming game. Balde provided 7 assists from the full-back position and appeared 44 times for the Blaugrana side last season.
