The Mariners made an astonishing comeback against the Blasters.

ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) scored five past Kerala Blasters to round up a completely dominating victory in the latter’s home turf on Sunday. A hat-trick by striker Dimitri Petratos coupled with a goal each by midfielders Joni Kauko and Lenny Rodrigues helped Juan Ferrando’s men secure three points against the Blasters.

Kerala sparked hopes with the opening goal by Ivan Kalyuzhnyi but were completely overawed by the multiple attacking moves that ATKMB decimated them with later on in the game.

Here are the player ratings for both the teams involved in this match.

Kerala Blasters (by Sooraj Saji)

Prabhsukhan Gill - 4.5

The custodian seemed a bit shaky between the sticks. The first goal seemed to impact his confidence and that was evident throughout the match. Proper communication between the goalkeeper and defence line was felt.

Harmanjot Khabra - 5.5

Quiet an average night for the right-back as he couldn't do anything remarkable to change the tide of the game. Khabra was good offensively with some good diagonals to Luna inside the box. Defensively he was not reliable as he used to be. He was subbed out at the 65th minute of the game.

Hormipam Ruivah - 5.5

At times Hormipam was beaten easily by the opposition forwards. His man-marking duty will be questioned after today's result.

Marko Leskovic - 5.5

Marko Leskovic marshalled a pretty average backline for the majority of the game. He saw his side concede four unfortunate goals. He was weak in his clearances and interceptions which lead to a humiliating scoreline.

Jessel Carneiro - 5.5

It was an average outing for the captain in the defence line. Jessel did his job satisfactorily but failed to change the tide of the game. He was dispossessed multiple times.

Sahal Abdul Samad - 6

Sahal dazzled the fans with his mazy close control in the early phase of the match. His finishing skills need to be sharpened further.

Jeakson Singh - 6.5

Jeakson performed well in a box-to-box role. In the first half, a header from the midfielder kissed the woodwork to deprive the Blasters of a goal.

Ivan Kalyuzhnyi - 7.5

The last match's hero again proved his worth by opening the score sheet for his team. He did a good job in the offense. He was subbed out in the second half.

Puitea - 6

Puitea had an okay performance in the midfield for his team. The first half saw the lad contributing extensively in the final third. He also tried some long-range attempts but couldn't convert them.

Adrian Luna - 7.5

As usual, Luna did his job well in the wings. He linked up with Khabra multiple times to create havoc in the opposition box. He mazed into the ATK Mohun Bagan box at times but couldn't turn the fortune for Kerala Blasters.

Dimitrios Diamantakos - 6

The forward needs to brush up on his scoring boots. He made some chances but lacked balance inside the box. He registered two shots off target in the game.

Substitutes

Rahul KP - 7

Rahul displayed a speedy presence in the wings for KBFC in the second half. He scored a stunner from the wing raising the scorecard for his team. He maintained an 81.8% passing accuracy.

Nishu Kumar - 6.5

Nishu came in as a substitute for Khabra in the second half. He enjoyed 29 touches in the game.

Apostolos Giannou - 6

Giannou came in as a substitute in the 69th minute. He couldn't make an impact in the game.

Bidyashagar Singh - N/A

Vishal Kaith - 5.5

Vishal Kaith made some important saves as the Blasters piled up pressure upfront whilst trailing. The goalkeeper helped ATKMB initiate attacks from the back on multiple occasions but conceded a sloppy second goal in the second half.

Asish Rai - 5

The full-back was industrious at the back but his passing was a tad bit erratic in critical areas of the field. The defender, however, cleared the lines well by putting in appropriate challenges on most instances.

Pritam Kotal – 6

Kotal rounded up a rather convincing performance individually as he recovered the ball and moved it up ahead through some neat passes throughout the course of the game.

Brendan Hamill – 7

Hamill recorded 12 clearances along with three successful tackles and interceptions each to keep the opposition attackers at bay. The Australian certainly brought a sense of stability and much-needed robustness to the defensive line.

Ashique Kuruniyan – 6.5

Kuruniyan stopped Kerala from dominating his flank by making four clearances and a couple of successful tackles. He could have been a tad bit more incisive and creative upfront though.

Deepak Tangri – 6

Tangri put in a good shift at the centre. He was the key link between the frontline and the back and helped ATK Mohun Bagan break Kerala Blasters’ midfield lines effectively.

Joni Kauko – 7

Kauko was proactive with respect to putting in challenges to win the ball back at the centre of the park. He topped it with a fine finish in the 38th minute, a goal that arguably changed the momentum of the game.

Manvir Singh – 6.5

Manvir clocked in one of his more convincing performances by putting in a good shift defensively and also assisting Kauko’s goal in the first half.

Hugo Boumous – 7.5

Boumous assisted Petratos’ first goal and created four goal-scoring chances as he engaged in some incredible link-up with his fellow forwards to stamp ATKMB’s dominance in the game.

Liston Colaco – 8

Colaco was in prime touch on the left flank as he regularly tested Kerala’s backline with some sharp runs. He registered two shots on target and assisted two goals as well.

Dimitri Petratos – 8.5

The striker did little wrong in an encounter in which he brought his A-game to the table. He was clinical with respect to the finishes and made the most out of the numerous chances created by his teammates throughout the game. Petratos also assisted Lenny Rodrigues for ATKMB's ultimate goal.

Substitutes

Subhasish Bose – 7

With three tackles and two interceptions, Subhasish Bose instilled further strength in ATKMB’s defensive line after his introduction into the game in the second-half.

Lenny Rodrigues – 8

Lenny was brought on to add more steel to the midfield as ATKMB looked to defend their lead. However, he helped them further that advantage with a terrific finish in the 88th minute.

Florentin Pogba – N/A

Lalrinliana Hnamte – N/A
