The nation are under the leadership of new coach Tata Martino

Mexico, who finished second in CONCACAF in goal difference, are one of the toughest nations that will make an eighth participation in the 2022 World Cup.

Although the North American giants have never advanced farther into the competition, their finest achievement goes all the way back to the 1970 and 1986 editions, when they staged both years and reached the quarter-finals.

They didn't make it past the round of 16 in the last season, but with his squad, the prospects are good this time. Mexico could finish second in Group C, which includes Messi's Argentina, Lewandowski's Poland, and Saudi Arabia.

They have enough exceptional players to give group favourites a run for their money, and new coach Tata Martino will undoubtedly want his elite side makes it through to the round of 16.
