The 2022 Ballon d'Or winner is the latest player to be ruled out of the tournament

Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema has been ruled out of the tournament after suffering a thigh injury during training. Karim Benzema, who recently won the Ballon d'Or after leading Real Madrid to the Champions League and LaLiga titles, will not play in this World Cup.

It was the same with Real Madrid, as he was injured for the first half of the season and will now miss the 2022 World Cup. Saturday was Benzema's first full training session since the club convened in Qatar for the practice.

"In my life I never give up but tonight I have to think about the team like I always do," said Karim Benzema
