Lucas Hernandez ruled out of World Cup due to an ACL injury
The French lb is out of the tournament and for the rest of the season due to injury

The Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez was forced to withdraw from the World Cup after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during France's match against Australia. The news was confirmed following a medical test in Qatar.
Hernandez was seen limping off the field after being knocked down inadvertently by Mathew Leckie, who supplied the cross for Craig Goodwin's goal, but Hernandez remained on the ground holding his knee for several minutes.
Lucas Hernandez has made seven appearance this season for the club, while for national team he has 32 appearances. He was replaced within the 14 minutes of the match by his sibling Theo Hernandez who plays as a left-back for AC Milan.
“He needs to do some tests but it seems pretty serious.That’s the big black spot tonight.” Head coach Deschamps said after the match.
France, on the other hand, got back with a 4-1 triumph, thanks to a brace from Giroud, who has now become France's all-time leading scorer, equalling Thierry Henry's record, and goals from Mbappe and Rabiot.
France's injury woes
His injury has created huge problem for France, who has already seen many key players being ruled out of the World Cup due to injuries. beginning with Karim Benzema's groyne ailment, and extending with Nkunku, defender Kimpembe, and long-term absentees Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante.
However, it remains to be seen how will now replace Lucas Hernandez in this World Cup. But for the time being, his brother Theo Hernández will replace him in the France starting lineup.
