Morocco predicted lineup for World Cup semifinal against France
The semifinals will be underway with Argentina playing Croatia.
In the Last World Cup, it was the Croats who stunned everyone with their exceptional game, in this edition Moroccans have done the same. Starting from a 0-0 draw against Croatia to beating giants like Belgium, Spain, and Portugal this team has impressed everyone with their resistance. Morocco has not conceded the second goal in this tournament since Canada scored one against them in five games. In FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, Morocco’s next target will be defending champions France. The Atlas Lions will be the first one to feature in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals.
For the game against France, Morocco will be a little worried about their playmaking. French defence might be a little too much of a challenge for Atlas Lions. In this tournament so far, Morocco’s strategy has been to score a goal create a chance and defend that with 100% effort. Morocco’s goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has been a pillar for this team. In Pre Quarter Final against Spain Bounou did not let Spain net any strike get past him in Penalty Shootout. Atlas Lions' performance is no less than a miracle for their fans and the country. Morocco manager Walid Regragui will be making these choices in Morocco’s playing eleven against France.
Morocco’s Predicted Lineup against France (4-3-3)
GK: Yassine Bounou
Bounou has been a wall standing tall against teams like Croatia, Belgium, Spain & Portugal. He has conceded only once in the entire tournament. There will be much dependence on him against France.
RB: Achraf Hakimi
This PSG defender is using his big-match experience really well in this tournament. In Morocco’s stunning tournament so far Hakimi has been brilliant in his position to defend strikers like Morata, Hazard, and Ronaldo.
CB: Jawad El Yamiq
Yamiq came in as a replacement yet he had a brilliant game against Portugal in Quarter Final. Yamiq’s pictures of kissing Pepe’s bald head are still viral on social media.
CB: Badr Benoun
There is also one injury concern for the Atlas Lions before the game against France. Moroccan captain Romain Saiss may make way for Badr Benoun in Morocco’s most important game in history.
LB: Yahya Attiyat Allah
Yahya with Hakimi has been crucial for Morocco in the tournament so far. The defence line will try everything possible to stop strikers like Giroud, and Mbappe.
CM: Azzedine Ounahi
Number 8 Ounahi will be in the memory of Luis Enrique for a long time now. Ounahi with a brilliant performance kept the Ball moving away from Spain’s strikers.
CM: Sofyan Amrabat
Sofyan Amrabat was not entirely fit yet he never made that show with his game against Spain and Portugal. Amrabat has been crucial for Morocco’s playmaking. He will be one of the key players in Morocco’s lineup.
CM: Selim Amallah
Walid Regragui will be banking on Midfield more than Defense against France. Amallah in that line will be an important player for Regragui.
RW: Hakim Ziyech
Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech has scored only one goal in FIFA World Cup 2022, yet he has been an important factor in winning the ball back for Morocco.
ST: Youssef En-Nesyri
Morocco is in Semi-final and will be facing France because of Nesyri’s brace in the nets against Portugal. His only goal in this World Cup made history for Morocco as well as for the African continent.
LW: Sofiane Boufal
Morocco’s frontline always anticipates an opportunity to score and then goes back a little to defend the score with full effort. France will be no different in strategic planning.
