The EFL Cup 2022-23, currently known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons has returned for its 63rd season in 2022-23. The annual knockout football competition in men’s domestic English football kicked off from August 8 and will conclude on Sunday, February 23, 2023. The EFL Cup is organized by the English Football League and there are total of 92 clubs who are currently in the four levels of the English Football League System comprising the English Premier League and the other three divisions of English Football League's own league competition (Championship, League one and League Two). Also, the knockout football competition in men’s domestic English football is played over seven rounds, with single-leg ties, excepting the semi-finals.

Also, the winner of the EFL Cup 2022-23 will directly qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off round.

The final match of the 63rd edition of the EFL Cup will commence on February 26, 2023 at the Wembley Stadium, London.
