The past week had several notable individual performances in the league.

The Indian Super League (ISL 2022-23) served entertaining action in gameweek 15. The campaign is getting closer to the business end with clubs pushing to achieve their seasonal objectives. Whether it is the fight to get the first place in the table or get into the top six positions that ensure a playoff qualification, the margin of error remains very small.

The competition is getting tougher with every passing gameweek. In the past week’s action, several individual players took their game up a few levels to help their team secure points.

Here is a look at Khel Now's Team of the Week from gameweek 15 of the ISL 2022-23 season:

Goalkeeper: Vishal Kaith (ATK Mohun Bagan)

Despite being on the losing side, Vishal Kaith was one of the best-performing players in the ATK Mohun Bagan-Mumbai City crusade. The custodian made eight saves during the match to limit the Islanders to only one goal.

Right-back: Rahul Bheke (Mumbai City)

Rahul Bheke delivered an impressive performance for Mumbai City in their 1-0 win over ATK Mohun Bagan. The defender made eight clearances to keep the Mariners’ forwards at bay. Furthermore, he made eight blocks and helped his team record a clean sheet.

Centre-back: Pratik Chaudhari (Jamshedpur FC)

Pratik Chaudhari was the pick of the defenders when Jamshedpur FC took three points against East Bengal. While helping his team secure a 2-1 win, the defender made five clearances and two blocks. He also created two scoring chances in a well-rounded performance.

Centre-back: Mehtab Singh (Mumbai City)

Mumbai City's valiant defensive display against ATK Mohun Bagan was possible due to the performance of Mehtab Singh. The centre-back was decent and kept a close watch on whatever the Mariners had to throw. He made six clearances, three blocks and two interceptions.

Left-back:  Aakash Sangwan (Chennaiyin FC)

Aakash Sangwan’s performances in this ISL 2022-23 season have been consistently improving. The winger was excellent against Hyderabad FC in a 1-1 draw. His deliveries into the box were threatening and the full-back walked away with an assist as well.

Defensive midfielder: Edu Bedia (FC Goa)

Attacking midfielder: Iker Guarrotxena (FC Goa)

Iker Guarrotxena scored yet another goal in his debut ISL season. The Spaniard scored from a penalty to give his team the lead for the second time in the game. His off-the-ball movement and willingness to help in the build-up were notable.

Defensive midfielder: Julius Duker (Chennaiyin FC)

Julius Duker was adjudged the Man of the Match in a 1-1 draw between the Nizams and the Marina Machans. His passing caused a lot of trouble for the HFC defenders. The midfielder created two big scoring chances and also made four successful tackles in the game.

Khel Now's Team of the Week for ISL 2022-23 Gameweek 15

Right winger: Lallianzuala Chhangte (Mumbai City)

Lallianzuala Chhangte’s goalscoring form continued as he scored the only goal in the 1-0 win over ATK Mohun Bagan. The winger scored with a well-taken shot from distance to help his team bag three points and in the process, earned the Man of the Match award. He is the highest Indian goal-scorer this season with eight goals and will likely add more.

Striker: Wilmar Jordan (NorthEast United)

Jordan scored a brace for NorthEast United to help the team secure a point against FC Goa. Both his goals came from the penalty spot and he delivered under pressure. The striker also won the Man of the Match award for his overall valiant display.
