The football league is all set for their new matches that will start in the month of March, from the different parts of the country. In the context of the football world, there aren't a lot of months as exciting as March. It's that time of the year when games come in thick and fast in Europe's top five leagues and the Champions League really kicks on. The matches are going to be very thrilling and exciting, fans are excited and looking forward to the matches schedules to mark the dates and not miss out on any leagues. As the season approaches its end phase, title races across the continent begin taking shape and the contenders for the Champions League knockout stages become clearer.

 Let's have a look at the top ten games that you must surely watch in the month of March:

10. PSG vs Nantes | 5th March, 1:30 AM (IST) |4th March, 8:00 PM (GMT)

The defending champions will look to increase their points tally as they will face Nantes who are currently not in good form and are struggling in the league as they are placed 13th. Nantes directly is not a big rival of PSG but still, whenever the match takes place between these two sides it always attracts a huge amount of audience. PSG is a team of stars, recently Lionel Messi won the best player award from FIFA. PSG will look to increase the points difference between them and Marseille and this match can prove to be very crucial.

9. Borussia Dortmund vs RB Liepzig | 4th March, 1:00 AM (IST) | 3rd March, 7:30 PM (GMT)

With both hell-bent on ripping the Bundesliga title from Bayern Munich's hands, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have developed a fiercely competitive rivalry in recent years. So, while Dortmund is a club steeped in tradition and Leipzig is still forging the early years of their own legacy, their futures look to be very much intertwined. Leipzig had created a great deal of noise due to their rapid rise to the top, and claiming the scalp of Dortmund showed that they were far from prepared to be silenced once they were at the top table. Both of the teams compete very well in the UEFA Champions league. Dortmund is currently placed second in the table and is very much in a race for the Bundesliga title this year. Whereas Leipzig are four points behind Dortmund can create a turnaround this season.

8. Bayern Munich vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen | 19th March | 10:00 PM (IST) | 4:30 PM (GMT)

There’s no connection between the Bayern of Munich and the Bayer of Leverkusen. The former is a location, the latter a family name. As Bayern Munich are currently on top of the Bundesliga table. Whereas Leverkusen are struggling a lot this season as they are placed eleventh and suffering from rough patches. Leverkusen's inconsistent performance this season has come to surprise many as in the previous season they finished third. But still this match will be a mouth-watering clash.

7. Chelsea vs Everton | 18th March | 11:00 PM (IST) | 5:30 PM (GMT)

There's no immediate rivalry between Chelsea and Everton football teams. Unlike Everton, Chelsea are a powerful team competing and winning trophies. Chelsea after the new owner takeover is struggling in the premier league as they are currently placed 10th in the league. Whereas Everton is fighting a relegation battle this season, as they recently appointed a new manager Sean Dyche after sacking Frank Lampard after continuous poor performances.

6. Arsenal vs Sporting CP | 1st leg, 9 March, 11:15 PM (IST), 5:45 PM (GMT) | 2nd leg, 17th March, 1:30 AM (IST) |8:00 PM (GMT)

Arsenal was drawn against Sporting CP in the last-16 of the Europa League, avoiding the likes of Juventus and Sevilla. The Gunners will play the 19-time Portuguese champions in March. Sporting CP knocked out Danish side Midtjylland in the knockout play-off round only to draw potential tournament favourites Arsenal. It was not the opponent they would have hoped to play at this stage having already been relegated from a Champions League group that included the Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham. Arsenal under Mikel Arteta is in fine form and is one of the favourites to win the Europa League.

5. Barcelona vs Real Madrid | 20th March, 1:30 AM (IST) | 19th March. 8:00 PM (GMT)

Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of the most successful clubs in Spanish football. The rivalry between the two sides dates back 120 years and is one of the fiercest in the world. The Spanish giants have produced several memorable matches over the years and the fixture is indeed a 'classic' encounter in its truest sense. Los Blancos are more successful than their rivals when it comes to winning La Liga. While Real have bagged 35 La Liga titles, Barcelona has won them 26 times. The 14 times European champions Madrid are currently lagging behind in the points table, placed second in the table. Recently Barcelona defeated Real Madrid to win the Super Cup by 3-1 it was the first trophy of Xavi as Barca manager. This will be the 4th time they face each other this season. Real defeated Barca 3-1 in Laliga in the earlier fixture.

4. Manchester United vs Liverpool | 5th March | 10:00 PM (IST) | 4:30 PM (GMT)

The Liverpool F.C.–Manchester United F.C. rivalry also known as North-West Derby is a high-profile inter-city rivalry between English professional football clubs. It is considered to be one of the biggest rivalries in the football world along with the Superclásico in South America, El Clásico in Spain, and Derby della Madonnina in Italy, and is considered the most famous fixture in English football.  Players, fans and the media alike often consider games between the two clubs to be their biggest rivalry. Above even their own local derby competitions with Everton and Manchester City, respectively.

The two clubs are the most successful English teams in both domestic and European competitions. United have recently won their first trophy of the season under Erik Ten Hag is in red-hot form. Whereas Liverpool currently in 7th place is struggling this season and hoping to get a European spot somehow this season.

3. Real Madrid vs Liverpool | 16th March, 1:30 AM (IST) | 15th March, 8:00 PM (GMT)

Both teams are known for their rich history in European football. Last year's Champions League finalists will meet once again, in the Santiago Bernabeu in the 2nd leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. Madrid in the first leg comeback from a two-goal down to beat Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield. Madrid left Liverpool in shock as they fear exit from the Champions League. Liverpool is going in through a rough patch in the Premier League as well. Jurgen Klopp's men will look to bounce back in the second leg as they have a huge task ahead of them.

2. Real Madrid vs Barcelona | 3rd March, 1:30 AM (IST) | 2nd March, 8:00 PM (GMT)

El Clasico or 'The Classic' was first played on May 13, 1902. In the semifinal of Copa de la Coronación (a tournament in honour of the coronation of Alfonso XIII of Spain). Barcelona won the match 3-1. This competition was considered a forerunner for the Copa del Rey which started in the succeeding year. There is a long list of superstars who have appeared in El Clasico.

Iconic players such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Diego Maradona, Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff and several others. Both sides will faceoff in Copa Del Rey once again and this time Madrid will have a chance to take revenge for the Supercup defeat. Many key players like Lewandoski, Pedri and Dembele will match due to injuries. Barca after being knocked out of Europa League will have to keep their confidence high so that they can face the mighty Madrid.

Two genuine powerhouse squads are ready to face each other in the second leg of the Champions League. Bayern Munich defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash. They will be eager to do so again at the Allianz Arena as they look to secure progression to the quarter-finals. In recent years both these teams have been performing really well in European competitions as they have brought some exciting results. Julian Nagelsmann's men will expect to go through the next round whereas PSG will look to come back so that they can achieve their European dream.
