The Stadio Olimpico will play host to the Eredivisie leaders in the 2nd leg of the Europa League quarter-finals stage.

Jose Mourinho's AS Roma are chasing two consecutive European Cups in two years. Last year's inaugural UEFA Conference League win gave Roma the belief and confidence of going the distance, this year in the Europa League. With some inconsistent form and also aided by external factors, Roma find themselves third in the Serie A league table as well. Thursday's tie against Feyenoord presents the perfect opportunity to progress further in the Europa League and finish off a successful season of a European trophy as well as a guaranteed Champions League spot after 2017-18.

Similarly for Feyenoord, they're also having a successful league season where they're at top of the Dutch league table and have a comfortable eight-point lead over traditional rivals Ajax with nine games to spare. Manager Arne Slot would be hoping for a double winning season, and looking to progress to the semi-final stage ahead of their Italian counterparts, who they lost to in the Europa Conference League final, last year.

AS Roma Form (All Competitions): W-L-W-W-L

Feyenoord Form (All Competitions): W-W-W-L-W

Players to Watch Out

Roma - Lorenzo Pellegrini

The Roma captain hasn't been at his influential playmaking best this season, as Jose Mourinho has asked him to play a variety of roles throughout the season, due to the lack of depth in the squad. However, the ever-present local boy has eight goal contributions this year(3G,5A), & largely been responsible for all set-piece opportunities including penalties.

However, the pressure got to him in the 1st leg, a 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord, as he missed a crucial penalty to give his side the lead. He was taken off at half-time, but Mourinho kept faith with him at the weekend, and Pellegrini delivered, scoring the crucial second goal, in a 3-0 win over Sampdoria. With a semi-final spot on the line, he'll be given the responsibility to drive his side forward into the next round by his Portuguese manager.

Feyenoord - Orkan Kokcu

The Turkish International & Feyenoord skipper was instrumental in his side's victory in the first leg, as he kept things ticking in the middle of the park in ten first leg and created numerous big chances. He finished with a game-high 72 passes with 87% accuracy and completely dictated the tempo of the first leg. With links with a move to the Premier League in the summer, scouts will certainly be in the stands to watch him play on the biggest stage. He'll be key for Feyenoord yet again, as they travel to Rome to ensure their path to the semi-final.

Match Prediction for AS Roma vs Feyenoord

Jose Mourinho is arguably the greatest European Cup manager ever and is the only person to have lifted all three UEFA Cup competitions. Winning difficult cup ties is his forte and despite his side being down by a goal, you'd fancy his side's chances to win this one at home and go through to the last four stages.
