Bengaluru FC bid farewell to Roy Krishna and Bruno Ramires

The duo will not play a part in the next season for the Blues.
Bengaluru FC took to social media to announce the departure of Roy Krishna and Bruno Ramires from the club. The foreign duo is set to leave the outfit this summer after a fruitful 2022-23 season with the club. The Blues thanks the pair for their service and contribution to the club’s success and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
Bengaluru FC are set to revamp their squad ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. The foreign contingent is set to undergo a significant overhaul. The departure of Roy Krishna and Bruno Ramires does not come as a shock as the club looks to restructure the squad to aim for trophies in the upcoming season.
A Reliable Duo
Roy Krishna and Bruno Ramires were both impressive in their spells for Bengaluru FC. The former was crucial in helping BFC win the 2022 Durand Cup. Furthermore, he was a major factor in BFC reaching the final of the 2022-23 Indian Super League and the 2023 Hero Super Cup. The 35-year-old played 35 matches across all competitions for the Blues. He scored 10 goals and made six assists in that period.
Roy Krishna was a former Mariner and also took the field for ATK before joining Bengaluru FC. In the ISL, the striker has 42 goals and 23 assists from 82 matches. His departure will certainly leave a huge shoes to fill in the squad and it will be difficult to find an able replacement.
On the other hand, Bruno Ramires was a solid figure in midfield and doubled up as a centre-back in Simon Grayson's back five. The Brazilian signed for Bengaluru FC on 28 August 2021. He went on to make 36 appearances in the Indian Super League for the Blues. On top of that, his performances in the Durand Cup and the Super Cup were noteworthy. The 29-year-old reportedly has suitors in Indian football and he may choose to stay if the right offer comes on the table.
