The three players weren't up to the best in Bengaluru FC colours.

Bengaluru FC have confirmed that they will part ways with three first-team players in Pablo Perez, Prince Ibara and Prabir Das. Simon Grayson’s side is expected to undergo some major changes for next season after barely missing out on the Indian Super League (ISL) Trophy in the previous campaign.

Two of the three released players, Prabir Das and Pablo Perez were only brought in by the Blues last summer in a bid to improve their squad. However, neither of them were really able to stamp their authority in the team and failed to win over a regular starting role under Grayson. Ibara was however, out with an injury.

How did the released players fare for BFC last season?

Ibara made 17 appearances in the ISL for Bengaluru FC, scoring four goals and providing one assist. However, the DR Congo forward succumbed to an injury and hardly became a part of the action last term.

Perez was mostly used as an impact substitute by Bengaluru FC and only started one single game after his arrival. He scored two goals in 19 appearances across all competitions and failed to contribute to any goals in the Hero Super Cup campaign either.

Prabir, on the other hand, left his lengthy stint with Kolkata side ATK Mohun Bagan last summer and opted to move to Bengaluru FC. He actually started a lot of games just as Bengaluru went on that impressive unbeaten streak towards the end of the season, but only produced one assist in 20 ISL appearances – not having a similar creative threat as Naorem Roshan Singh.

What next for these players?

At this point, there is no real update on the future of Perez and Ibara in Indian football. Neither of the two foreign stars have attracted much attention from any other club, but that can now change with their departures being officially confirmed.

Prabir Das, meanwhile, appears to be set to join Kerala Blasters, as revealed by Khel Now earlier.

The Blues are yet to name any replacements for these departing players, and are expected to delve deep into the transfer market in the summer to try and find upgrades over them.
