A total of 1084 goals were scored in 380 matches by all 20 sides. A lot of players have contributed to their team’s success.

Erling Haaland has played a huge role in Manchester City’s success. He has dominated the race for the Golden Boot. There are a few other players who have led their teams and are just behind Manchester City’s talent.

Let’s take a look at the top five players with the most goals in the Premier League 2022-23.

5. Callum Wilson - 18 goals (Newcastle United)

Callum Wilson is enjoying his best run in the English Premier League. Newcastle United’s No. 9 has taken his tally to 18 goals in 301league games for the current season. The 31-year-old Englishman joined the Magpies two seasons ago. Wilson’s run of 11 goals in the last 12 led to a huge success in Newcastle United’s run for the top-four.

4. Mohamed Salah: 19 goals (Liverpool)

Mo Salah has played every league game for Liverpool this season. The Egyptian forward has scored 19 goals in 38 appearances. His run of eight goals in the last 12 games has equalled his lowest goal tally for Liverpool in the EPL. Salah failed to score a goal in the final match and ended with 19 goals.

3. Ivan Toney: 20 (Brentford)

Brentford’s No. 9 has scored 20 goals and secured his side a top-half finish in the league this season. Ivan Toney made 33 appearances for the Bees before getting suspended for eight months from football. The 27-year-old scored a brace against Manchester City to secure a famous victory against the champions.

2. Harry Kane: 30 (Tottenham Hotspur)

England and Spurs captain, Harry Kane, has added 30 league goals and taken his overall tally to 213 in the top division. This is Kane’s third-best run and is just two goals behind his highest tally in the English Premier League. Kane scored nine goals in the final ten games. he becomes the first player to score more than 30 goals in two seasons.

1. Erling Haaland: 36 (Manchester City)

Erling Haaland has been a sensation for Manchester City this season. The 22-year-old Norwegian has broken the record for most goals scored in a single EPL season. His tally of 36 goals in 35 league games in his debut season has led to City’s title run. Haaland has scored four hat-tricks and broken multiple records. He scored 18 goals in 13 appearances before the World Cup. The next 18 took 21 games but were crucial for Pep’s side. Erling Haaland has dominated the race for the Golden Boot and has now set his eyes on the treble.
