Jude Bellingham named Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2022-23 campaign

The 19-year-old adds another award to his accolade
Jude Bellingham had a great year even though his season didn't end the way he had hoped. He was selected as the top player in the recognised Bundesliga Team of the Season due to his deserving efforts, earning him the title of Player of the Season.
Dortmund's season came to an unfortunate finish as Die Schwarzgelben could only manage a 2-2 draw against Mainz on the final matchday, despite only requiring a victory to win the Meisterschale.
Bayern Munich won the championship for an unprecedented 11th straight year with their 2-1 victory at Cologne on the road.
Dortmund let a wonderful opportunity slip through their fingers, but Jude Bellingham's omission from the crucial match was undoubtedly felt. The England international, who is still only 19 years old, is an innate commander who has already season worn the captain's shirt from the beginning, making him Dortmund's youngest-ever leader.
He has also donned the armband numerous times throughout games. Additionally, he started each of his team's 34 Bundesliga games as they ultimately placed second, with the exception of three.
Since moving to Germany from Birmingham City in 2019, his skill set has been there for all to witness. However, despite improving with each passing season, he has this time around developed into probably his team's most important player.
But Jude Bellingham has made the biggest strides in the latter third. Only 10 players had more shots than him, and his 65 shots resulted in eight goals, which is three more goals than he scored in the best tier last season and more than double his previous league record.
The Player of the Season honour adds yet another personal distinction to demonstrate Bellingham's exceptionality on the field. There is no question that the young player, who will turn 20 at the end of June 2023, is destined for glory in the game of football.
