Udanta Singh is set to sign for Indian Super League outfit FC Goa ahead of the 2023-23 season. The pacey winger leaves Bengaluru FC after nine successful campaigns. His 2022-23 season with the Blues saw the winger reach the finals of the Indian Super League and the Hero Super Cup. In addition, he won the 2022 Durand Cup with the side in his final season. 

As he looks for a fresh challenge ahead, fans of FC Goa cannot wait to see him in the club’s colours from next season onwards. Udanta Singh’s abilities make him a perfect player for the way the Gaurs play. His pace and attacking mindset align with the club’s mentality and vision.

Manolo Marquez has the task of replicating his magic at FC Goa after guiding Hyderabad FC to an ISL title and back-to-back ISL Playoffs qualification. Bringing Udanta Singh on board, a player who knows all too well about what it needs to challenge for titles, is a clear indication of the Gaurs’ intentions.

Udanta Singh was struggling for regular game-time at Bengaluru FC. The 26-year-old played only 973 minutes of football during the 2022-23 season across all competitions. In comparison, he got 1132 minutes of game-time in the 2021-22 season.

As the Gaurs reap the benefits of having a player like Singh in the line-up, it also benefits the player with regular game-time and opportunities to impress the national team head coach Igor Stimac for a starting place in the Indian national team.
