The Seagulls has a very successful first season under Roberto De Zerbi

Following the creative leadership of Roberto De Zerbi, Brighton were the story of the 2022–23 Premier League season, reaching for the Europa League for the first time in their entire history and playing what was perhaps the most exciting football of any team in Europe's top five divisions.

Mahmoud Dahoud former Borussia Dortmund and Mönchengladbach who was previously considered one of the most promising young players in German football, has already been signed as a free agent acquisition for them.

But they aren't going to stop there; throughout Europe, they are strongly linked with a number of interesting young prospects. So here are five potential transfer options for Brighton for the summer of 2023.

5. Enzo Le Fée

Enzo Le Fée ought to be something that everyone wants to possess. He performed at the greatest level in an array of midfield roles throughout the 2022–23 Ligue 1 season, ranking right alongside with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Alexandre Lacazette as one of the best players.

Le Fée, who will be 23 years old in 2023-24, already seems like one of the top midfielders in European football and has the potential to be an outstanding player for Brighton in the Premier League.

4. Maxime Lopez

Maxime Lopez has been regarded as one of the more talented midfielders in Serie A over the past few seasons, while not receiving nearly as much attention as Le Fée does. Since Lopez played for Sassuolo previously, Roberto De Zerbi ought to be acquainted with his contributions to Brighton.

The most fascinating feature of Lopez is his skill as a young operator. There aren't a lot of players in European football who fit his description, and even fewer young midfielders who are as courageous or forward-thinking with possession as Lopez.

3. André Almeida

Talking of underappreciated midfielders, André Almeida was crucial in helping one of the legendary teams in Spanish football survive a notoriously terrible campaign.

One of LaLiga's top young midfielders is Almeida. He is one of several promising Portuguese players who are rising through the ranks, but Valencia's poor performance in 2022–2023 made few people aware of him.

2. Davide Frattesi

Davide Frattesi, a fellow Sassuolo player who Roberto De Zerbi is surely familiar with, is the Neroverdi's most highly regarded young player, even more so than undiscovered superstar striker Armand Laurienté.

Frattesi, a prior Roma youth product, has been heavily connected with a return to the city for some time, but Juventus is also interested in him, where he might team up with Manuel Locatelli, another erstwhile Sassuolo star in midfield. He is a controller and the box-to-box star with boundless energy and an acute sense for goal-scoring situations.

1. Mykola Matvienko

Mykola Matvienko, a star for the team Roberto De Zerbi managed after leaving Sassuolo, is a third player of who De Zerbi is probably aware.

For the dominant Ukrainian team, Matvienko is a dynamic defender who possesses the ball-handling style that De Zerbi specifically seeks at centre-back. Although De Zerbi and Brighton don't require immediate defensive assistance, they may use a player with another sort of character and versatility like Matvienko.
