Top five players who can replace Moises Caicedo at Brighton
Many Premier League giants are chasing the Ecuadorians' signature
Brighton are set to lose one of the best assets they signed from the Ecuadorian Moises Caicedo as Chelsea are pushing for his signing.
Caicedo's rise to prominence this year has been incredible for someone so young. He has already proven his talent and is ready to play for an elite club. The 21-year-old was ready to depart during the winter transfer window, but Brighton blocked the transfer.
Who will the Seagulls use replace the midfielder in the upcoming campaign now that they are aware they are out of the loop once again and are willing to sell the player for a high price? let's find out.
5. Davide Frattesi
Frattesi is seen as a potential replacement for Moises Caicedo and is anticipated to carry a club-record signing cost. The Italian manager is still seeking more players, and he has targeted Frattesi to strengthen his team's depth. This Serie A season, the 23-year-old has played in each of Sassuolo's 36 games and has been a constant for the team.
4. Amadou Onana
With a £33 million transfer from Lille to Everton, Onana only joined the Premier League last summer. But the Belgian international is already rumoured to be leaving the floundering Toffees.
The 21-year-old has participated in 18 of Everton's Premier League games, and it seems doubtful that the club, which is fighting for survival, would approve the leaving of one of its most important players, particularly following Anthony Gordon's £45 million move to Newcastle on Sunday.
3. Mahmoud Dahoud
Prior to the likely exit of Moises Caicedo, who has drawn attention from Chelsea, Brighton purchased midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old Caicedo played a key role in Brighton's recent campaign, which earned the squad its first-ever spot in Europe, but his price tag of around £100 million may be too much for potential buyers. Brighton now have new midfield alternatives thanks to the arrival of Dahoud, who has a four-year contract.
2. Tom Kraub
Kraub, a midfielder for Schalke, could depart this summer. The 21-year-old displayed his abilities at Schalke. He is capable of performing at a high level in a variety of positions, but this season, he excelled in a deeper midfield position.
With 112 total tackles made throughout the Bundesliga season, Kraub has been one of the best tacklers in the league although he also has plenty of room to grow as a player.
1. Mads Bidstrup
Mads Bidstrup, a midfielder who represents Denmark at the Under-21 level, gets a new deal after finishing a season-long loan with FC Nordsjaelland. The 21-year-old agreed to a new contract that would keep him with the team through the summer of 2024, with a two-year extension option for Brentford FC.
His press is of another planet. He is extremely physical and excellent at covering the pitch. That is a wonderful fit for the club's design. He is capable of playing as a "number six" or a "number eight," but in the long run, he will be a six. He has excellent acceleration, shuts everything down defensively, and can outrun opponents.
