Portugal will face Italy in U19 Euro 2023 Final

The final game will be played on Sunday

Italy will meet Portugal in the 2023 UEFA Under-19 European Championships (U19 Euro 2023 Final) Final on Sunday at 12:30 am.

England recently defeated Spain 1-0 to win the Under-21 European Championship. The Young Lions won the competition for the first time since 1984, but they also claimed the Under-19 championships in 2017 and 2022.

However, this time they failed to qualify for the tournament for the first time. Spain, the tournament favourite and eight-time champion, fell to Italy 3-2, and the Nazzuri will now face Portugal in their bid for glory.

Italy will be hoping to play at their finest, but considering Selecao's performance thus far in the campaign, it may be a one-sided match.

Portugal thrashed Norway in semi-finals

Portugal's 5-0 demolition of Norway sent a strong message that they are now the odds-on favourites to win this championship.

Portugal finished first in Group A with a perfect record and demonstrated their superiority over Italy's second-place finish with a 5-1 victory.

Poland were unable to advance from the group round because they scored three fewer goals than their Italian opponents. Malta's home tournament came to a conclusion with a score of 0 points.

Portugal, Italy, and Norway have all won the trophy once, while Spain have won it eight times. Norway made their tournament debut at this point.

Now that Italy and Portugal, who were in the same group, will face off against each other once more in the tournament's championship game, Italy will be aiming to prevent Portugal from repeating their previous group-game victory.
