Serie A 2023-24: Opening week fixtures

Napoli begin their title defence against Frosinone
The Serie A 2023-24 list of fixtures is out and 20 teams will fight for the Scudetto. The season will start on 20 August and end on 26 May 2024.
For the third season in a row, the fixture list will be ‘asymmetric.’ This means that the second part of the season, will not follow the order of those from the first.
Corriere dello Sport reported Atalanta, Inter Milan, Juventus, Lazio, AC Milan, Roma and Napoli can’t meet in Round one, two, five, six (mid-week), 19 and 38. The same goes for Milan, Turin, Rome and Tuscany Derbies.
All the derbies must be played in different weeks and clubs involved in European competitions won’t meet each other in rounds played between UEFA competitions
Napoli will look to defend their title. The side from Naples were dominant throughout the season and they will look to repeat the same performance in their title defence.
Teams like AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Roma and Lazio are the top contenders for the Serie A 2023-24 title. All these sides have been top-four contenders in recent seasons.
