Al-Hazm vs Al-Nassr: Predicted lineup, injury news, head-to-head, telecast

Al-Nassr will be looking to continue their climb up the table

Al-Hazm are currently wobbling in a relegation spot as they stand at 16th after playing four league games. In their opener, they travelled away from home to face Al-Ahli Saudi, a side captained by former Liverpool player Roberto Firmino. Firmino scored a hat trick and Al-Hazm took a consolation from that game. The second game also saw them defeated 2-0 against Al-Ettifaq, a side managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. But from the last two games, they have managed to get a point each, trying to get a better end result.

Al-Nassr players are getting into the grove together. After suffering two defeats initially in the 2023-24 Saudi Pro League season, they are seemingly back on track with two back-to-back wins. Both wins were monumental since they kept clean sheets and scored a ton of goals. In the last game, they managed to put past four goals against Éver Banega’s Al-Shabab team. Banega eventually left the field with a red card after expressing his game frustration with a stud-showing tackle.

Al-Nassr (in all competitions): W-W-W-L-L

Players to watch in Al-Hazm vs Al-Nassr

Vina (Al-Hazm)

For the newly promoted side, life hasn’t been easy on the grandest stage of football in Saudi Arabia. After starting off with two defeats and seemingly on a recovery gaining two draws, Al-Hazm have a tough visitor to face. In this game, the home side will hope Vina can once again nudge a goal or two to get a shot at getting a better result against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. The Brazilian attacking midfielder has two goals in the last four appearances.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr)

The five-time Ballon d’Or holder once again was on prowl mode in the last outing. In the last game against Al-Shabab, Ronaldo netted two goals from penalty spots. And also could have got another, but the man unselfishly gave away a chance to score his career’s 850th goal by allowing his teammate a shot from one other penalty. Even was involved with an assist to winger Sadio Mane. Ronaldo will be ever-hungry for his 850th goal mark and continue his scoring after already having scored five times in 3 outings.

Match facts Al-Hazm vs Al-Nassr

  • The home side are yet to win a game this season. Currently, Al-Hazm have lost two and settled for further two draws as well
  • Currently, Al-Nassr’s Ronaldo is on the top spot of both the goal-scoring and assists chart in the Saudi Pro League
  • In the last three games, Al-Nassr have scored a whopping total of 13 goals

Injury & Team news for Al-Hazm vs Al-Nassr

Seemingly the newly promoted side Al-Hazm can field any player that the manager António Filipe de Sousa Gouveia wishes. No injury concern at this stage. A fully fit squad will be available to tackle Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

Similarly, for the visitors, everyone will be available. And Al-Nassr’s Portuguese manager Luis Castro will likely field a similar lineup that took on Al-Shabab spearheaded by former Real Madrid star man Cristiano Ronaldo.

Match Prediction for Al-Hazm vs Al-Nassr

The 2023–24 Saudi Pro League gameweek 5 will see the Al-Nassr side take on the newly promoted Al-Hazm. Al-Nassr are at their best after a poor start to the season. While Al-Hazm are yet to settle in the top tier of Saudi football. With the visitors packed with star players from Europe and in their grove. It will be a very tough ask for the home side to get a point or more. Al-Nassr are expected to triumph once again.

Prediction: Al-Hazm 1-4 Al-Nassr
